As everyone enjoys the last few days of school holidays the Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS), Parent and Community Engagement (PaCE) teams, Department of Education and the schools are working and getting ready to make this year one of the best and lift attendance levels across the Barkly Region.
The RSAS and PaCE teams (the yellow shirts) will be joining forces with Tennant Creek Primary School and other providers to encourage as many children to attend school every day.
Attending school every day is important to ensure our children obtain the best access to education to empower them to be future leaders of tomorrow.
RSAS Program Manager Anita Mayers urged parents to ensure their children attend school every single day.
“If you need help in getting their children to school contact our office and we will offer our support,” she said.
You can phone the team on 896 23270 from 7.30am onwards to arrange for pick-up.
On Wednesday morning a big breakfast will be cooked by the RSAS and PaCE teams and TC Primary staff to welcome the children back to another year of schooling.
A wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast will be prepared and served to those who attend school from 8am.
Let’s build a better community by educating our children.
High School starts on Tuesday 2 February and Tennant Creek Primary School starts on Wednesday 3 February 2021.
See you all there.
