Campaign for school attendance in full force

Posted on: 8 October 2021, 9:59pm

This coming Monday morning will see all children in Barkly Region required to return to school.

The RSAS and PaCE teams, Truancy Officers and School staff will be encouraging all students to return for
the final term of this year.
Over the next few weeks will see a big effort to encourage as many children as possible to attend school every
day by the RSAS, PaCE teams (The Yellow shirts), Education Department and the Tennant Creek community.
Attending school every day is important to ensure our children obtain the best access to education.
Let’s build a better community by educating our children.
“We urge parents and carers of school aged children to encourage them to attend school every day,” said
RSAS Program manager Anita Mayers.
If they need help in getting their children to school contact our office and we will offer our support.
Phone 8962 3270 from 7.30am onwards to arrange for pickup.
If you do not want people following up on non-attendance and knocking on your door chasing up your children
that are at home and not attending school, with a valid reason, than please contact the school as soon as possible
to inform them.
