Students rewarded for high attendance

Over the past two weeks, parents/carers and children who have obtained 80% or above in attendance received a gift and a thank you from the Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS) and the Parent and Community Engagement (PaCE) teams.
With the help of the Tennant Creek Primary and High School teams, we were able to identify the high attenders and set about making sure they were rewarded for attending school almost every day.
Keep up the good work kids and we appreciate that you go the extra effort to get yourself to school.
To the parents/carers making sure the children in their care attend school – we thank you!
Last Friday, the RSAS and PaCE teams cooked a great pancake breakfast for the Primary School children and in the coming weeks a bacon and eggs breakfast will be held.
At Canteen Creek School, the RSAS team has added more gifts to their reward room to entice the children to attend school more regularly.
The more children attend school, the more points they receive to earn a better gift.
At Elliott Primary School last year, three students earned enough points for push bikes and all the safety gear to go with them (supplied by RSAS).
School attendance and gaining an education is everyone’s business.
School every day is the only way.
