School’s back - let’s make every day count

A hearty barbecue breakfast will greet local primary school children on the first day of school next week.

Working the BBQ from 8am next Wednesday will be the Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS) team and Tennant Creek Primary School staff to welcome the children back to another year of education with a fulfilling menu of eggs, bacon and toast.
The RSAS and Parent and Community Engagement (PACE) teams, also known as the Yellow Shirts, will again unite with Primary School and other providers to encourage as many children to attend school every day.
Attending school every day is important to ensure our children obtain the best access to education to empower them to be future leaders of tomorrow.
RSAS Program Manager Anita Mayers urges parents and carers who have problems troubles getting their children to school to contact the office on 8962 3270.
“We have a whole team who can help and support parents in getting their kids to school so they can learn and grow,” she said.
“Let’s build a better community by educating our children.”
