School is open – PAK staff still working

Posted on: 9 April 2020, 10:01pm

With the uncertain times we find ourselves in, Papulu Apparr-kari Aboriginal Corporation (PAK) and staff are still providing a service to those parent who want their children to attend school.

We are providing pick-ups, breakfast, class support and aiding the school in areas of returning children home if sick.
We are taking the virus seriously and as such are observing all precautions in regards to limiting contact with the COVID-19 virus.
We have spend the last two weeks cleaning and disinfecting our premises and vehicle to ensure we limit the virus spread.  PAK has also limited access to the premises and are taking precautions to ensure a safe environment for all of our staff and community.
We have been busy printing and translating most of the virus materials being displayed and announced around town and the outlying communities and are proud to support Anyinginyi Heath in printing these posters and materials for free.
PAK staff will be taking a break when the schools close for the holidays but will return to support the education of our children when Term 2 begins.
