Community visits back on track

Papulu Apparr-kari (PAK) workers from all their programs out and about doing great work for the past two weeks.

With the return of community travel, team members have been out and about in Ali Curung, Elliott and are planning to visit other communities as soon as possible.
The Language area workers received a boost with the arrival of multimedia equipment purchased and distributed from another Aboriginal Language Corporation in New South Wales.
This equipment has been very much appreciated by the Language and Media teams.
The extra equipment has enabled PAK to support local people to record their family’s stories in the comfort of their own home at a time and place that suits them.
This is a great way of ensuring the keeping of our language and the memories of our old people for when they are no longer with us.
The Warumungu language hub meetings are progressing and a schedule of meeting times to carry out the recording and input into the language app is progressing nicely.
A shoutout to the Language groups for driving this project.
