A large number of the regular and improved school attenders had a blast on the last Friday night of school term seen.
The joint Neon Disco was held at the Civic Hall under the watchful eye of Papulu Apparr-Kari Aboriginal Corporation Remote Student and Attendance Strategy team (RSAS – Yellow Shirts) and the Parent and Community Engagement Team (PACE).
The event was attended by over 100 children and many parents.
The music and neon lights were a great success, enjoyed by all and the support from the community was great to see.
A big thank you to all those who supported the event. A special thanks must go to: Karen’s Kitchen, Chris Helmond, Hal Ruger, Tennant Creek Little Athletics Club and local sports groups that made the night special.
The local Yellow Shirts and PACE staff dressed in onesies and had as much fun as the children.
Anita Mayers said that the night capped off a very busy term and was a thank you to all the parents, children and staff for the great effort they put in to get all kids to school.
Keeley Pickering said that she loved the night and hoped there would be more in the future.
PAK staff wish all a safe school break and see you all next term.
