LAST Friday night Papulu Apparr-Kari hosted a Halloween pool party to reward children who attended school regularly.
About 300 families, parents and children attended the event and enjoyed a fun evening at the Tennant Creek Pool.
It was great to see the kids and some adults dressed in their best Halloween outfits and the place was full of witches, zombies, skeletons and ghouls, with prizes awarded for the best costumes.
The kids also enjoyed a range of Halloween games including apple-bobbing competitions and broom stick races before ending the night with a great dinner and piñatas full of surprises.
Many parents said how great it was to have an event like this on a Friday night just for parents and children to have fun in a safe and secure environment.
Papulu Apparr-Kari would like to thank all of the parents and kids who supported this event, Anyinginyi Sports and Recreation and Barkly Regional Council for providing facilities and resources for the event.
We would also like to thank St John Ambulance, Northern Territory Police and Barkly Regional Council Lifesavers for keeping everyone safe.
Papulu Apparr-Kari would also like to thank all of its Parent and Community Engagement (PACE) and RASA (yellow shirt mob) staff who volunteered their time for this event.
They all worked extremely hard to make this a great night for all community.
