THE Remote Student Attendance Strategy (RSAS) teams (aka the Yellow Shirt mob) are winding down for the year and before they take a long-earned break they have been rewarding those who have attended school over 90 per cent of the year.
School assemblies across the Barkly region are being conducted and recognising students for their achievement throughout the school year and this year there has been one more award added to the pile.
The RSAS team has had great pleasure in acknowledging those students that have keep their attendance up to a high level and those who have improved their attendance over the past year.
The RSAS team would also like to thank the community for their great support over the year and congratulate those who have aided the team to achieve better student attendance in all five schools they operate in across the region.
The Yellow Shirts will be back in the New Year to work with parents, carers, schools and community to get better attendance and aid in providing a better future for our children.
The teams will be in action the week before school starts to help parents and carers get their kids ready for the new school year.
All community members are asked to support the yellow shirt mob to do their job in the coming year and make the remote school attendance strategy work for the better of all community.
Papulu Apparr-Kari Aboriginal Corporation and the PaCE and RSAS teams wish all a safe and happy Christmas and will see you all in the New Year.
